Eddie rules the roost. I saw him in Edmonton in October 05. They blew the place away. They surprisingly played some old tunes that brought back some memories of shredding in the 'ol days. SRV can't be shaken from his pedestal either though. I saw him in concert as well in Halifax years ago. Hi All by the way !!!!

Hello old friend in BC...Thats all I ask for before I die is to see Mr Edward Van Halen in concert...I better see him soon before he kicks off...lol
Im into Eddies older tunes...not into the new stuff...However in concert they would play the hits Im sure.
5150 and Van Halen 1 are the best albums for me by these guys.
So why Edmonton...I guess Van Halen didnt go to BC...were you on vacation or did you make the trip just for the concert alone.

It was either Edmonton or Vancouver so I picked Edmonton. I drove to Edmonton (8 hour drive on icey highways) just to see them. Eddie looked like he was having a great time and the whole band just kicked ass. They played a really good mix of tunes and the way Eddie played, it wasn't hard to tell I was watching a legend up on stage. I still smile when I think about it. I knew I would walk out of there wishing he had played some tunes but all in all I was really happy. The solo was great, included everything from hot for teacher to eruption and source of infection intro. I could go on for hours.....

Thats what they call it now...Rexhall...Thats why i said oilers arena...They change the names of these places like they change sponsers.
Same with montreal...I thought it was the gillette center or something...or molson...what is the name of that forum?

Montreal? I dunno....I think they changed the name of from Molson to something else. As far as Rexall goes, apparently they have changed it a few times, its money that talks I guess. Nice place though.

Yeah...but was worth it....When ya figure gas for 18 hours of drivin, hotels, souvenirs, etc, it was really only a small part. The whole trip was expensive but was more than worth it, I would do it again easily.
