How do you record in stereo when recording your own tunes?...I heard something about using 2 mikes at once and having them at 90 degrees or something however I dont really know.
Anyone out there know or have advice on this...thanks

I was looking for info on the net on how to record with 2 mics to get a more stereo like sound however Im not really sure what the person meant when they explained it below.
Anyone understand it?...not sure what they mean by X/Y configuration...I assume you place the mics in some way that resembles an X or a Y...also the part where they say "capsules are on top of each other at a 90 degree angle"...are they saying put one mic just abover the other mic?...also when they say 90 dregree angle im not sure either...i understand 90 degree however starting from where?...not sure where the starting point is to go to 90 degrees from?

Explaination from website below
Two-Microphone (Stereo) Techniques
You can also try an X/Y configuration at around the 12th fret: place the microphones so that their capsules are on top of each other at a 90 degree angle, facing the guitar. Pan left/right, and you'll find that this gives you a more natural stereo image sometimes.
